The University of Southern Indiana seeks a full-time Facilities Coordinator to assist the Theatre and Performing Arts Department with the day to day operations and management of all Theatre facilities.

Responsibilities include:
• Provide necessary technical assistance and/or oversight in order to support programming, especially with show-control systems and digital audio
• Work closely with technical theatre staff and students to support all USI and New Harmony Theatre (currently LOA LORT D) projects as needed, including sound design and engineering (live mixing) and possible lighting systems operation
• Oversee the use of the Performance Center by any University office or department, and any outside group that arranges for use of the venue
• Serve as the house technical coordinator for additional University programming
• Monitor and maintain all technical systems within the Performance Center

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
• Bachelor’s in technical theatre required. Significant related college coursework, together with substantial experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, with subsequent degree completion required.
• Working knowledge of sound boards, amplification systems, microphone systems (including wireless) required.
• Experience with all aspects of sound support, including running a live mix required.
• Trouble shooting skills in sound and light board operation required.
• Basic knowledge of light board operations required.
• SFX software sound design experience required.
• Show-control systems and digital audio experience required.
• Ability to read music preferred.
• Knowledge of microcomputers, word processing, spreadsheet, and electronic mail software required.
• Excellent oral communication and listening skills required.
