Overview

Position: Full-time, 9 month, tenure-accruing faculty position

The University of Florida School of Theatre and Dance seeks an Assistant Professor in Acting with expertise in classical and contemporary acting for stage as well as basic and advanced on-camera acting and/or acting for digital media. Active participation in our learning community while finding innovative ways to engage in critical discourse across the arts and other disciplines.

Responsibilities:  Teach undergraduate and graduate curricula in acting and camera performance. Production coaching/potential for directing. Advise thesis projects, aid in student recruitment and retention, participate in shared governance, maintain active national and international professional and creative research profile.

Minimum Qualifications: MFA or PhD in theatre or related field. Evidence of aptitude for working towards structural change in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
