Overview

The Department of Theatre at Michigan State University invites applications for a position as Assistant Professor in Sound Design. This is a one-year fixed term (with possible renewal), annual position (12-month) appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor commencing August 16, 2021 to August 15, 2022. Salary competitive and commensurate with experience. MFA (or equivalent professional experience), working knowledge in the field of sound design and technology required. Teaching experience, union/ professional affiliations, ability to teach/mentor in a secondary area of production, and composition for sound design preferred.
