Overview

The Belmont University Fellow in Theatre will teach a BELL Core theatre experience course, costume design, and stage makeup. The fellow will also serve as Costume Shop Supervisor.  Preference will be given to a minority candidate who holds an M.F.A. in Costume Design/Technology with shop supervision, costume construction (cutting, draping, flat patterning), period silhouettes, fabric modification, wardrobe maintenance, supervision of a crew, strong organization skills, and extensive knowledge of safe use of equipment. The Fellow will engage in teaching under the guidance and supervision of Professor Paul Gatrell and costume shop supervision under the guidance of Associate Professor Jessica Mueller. The Belmont University Fellow in Theatre will be appointed to a 12-month, full-time contract with University benefits. This position carries a combined teaching and research load of nine hours per semester.
